Christine Ohurougu, MBE
Christine Ijeoma Ohuruogu // , MBE (born 17 May 1984) is a British former track and field athlete who specialised in the 400 metres, the event for which she is an Olympic, World and Commonwealth champion.
I have been a great supporter of Arco for many years; I respect wholeheartedly what they stand for - helping young people achieve regardless of their circumstances. As an Ambassador for Arco, I have enjoyed the close connection with the school, meeting and working with the student athletes and advocating for the school in the wider community. I have loved seeing the profound impact Arco has had on the students that have attended. Where other schools are not able, Arco is able and gives young people an opportunity to be enterprising members of the community.

Nkechi Simms
Nkechi Simms is a British actress from Camden Town, London, creative and advocate whose journey has been shaped by a powerful combination of lived experience, creativity and a commitment to representation. This demonstrates what can happen when young people are given the opportunity to discover their strengths and redefine what is possible.
She made her television debut in Netflix's Top Boy before taking the lead role of Sienna in BBC Three's PRU. Her screen credits also include Death in Paradise, EastEnders, Doctors and the feature film Tell No Lies.
Having found a pathway through theatre and creative opportunity, Nkechi understands the transformative impact that trusted adults, positive relationships and alternative approaches to learning can have on a young person’s confidence, identity and future. Her story resonates strongly with the principles of SEND education and Alternative Provision, where recognising the individual behind the label is fundamental.
Nkechi is passionate about inclusion, representation and unlocking potential. Her experience offers an important reminder that education, creativity and sport can provide powerful routes to belonging, resilience, achievement and meaningful life opportunities.
